With over 12 years of experience with the California State Legislature and 6 years running my firm, I know how to translate complicated policy proposals into simple, urgent calls to action. I look forward to helping you reach your policy goals.
Background
Prior to starting my firm, I served as senior legislative and communications staff in the California State Legislature for twelve years. I earned a strong, positive reputation for my expertise on a broad range of complex policy issues, including insurance, anti-poverty efforts, social services, foster care, environmental stewardship, and more. I mastered arcane legislative procedures and developed relationships with Capitol and Executive branch staff, advocates, and reporters. I have led numerous legislative and media campaigns for controversial legislation and budget issues.

Master’s degree in Public Policy and Administration from CSU Sacramento, graduating with distinction
Jesse M. Unruh Assembly Fellow, Capitol Fellows Program
B.A. in English and History from the University of California, Davis
